I have known Gini for nearly a year now, but it feels as though
its been much longer!
Anyone who knows me knows I put my two horses first,
and I use Gini as my saddler and general all round
alternative therapy guru because she puts my horses
first too!! I live in Devon near Cheriton Bishop, in a
house with an adjoining field, which my husband and I worked
very hard to buy, and I am finally giving my boys the lives
they deserve, with me on hand to attend to their every
desire!
You often hear horsey people talking fondly about
their beloved First Pony. I can talk fondly to my first
pony because he is right outside!! I have had Ziggi for 17
years now and at the grand age of 32 he still keeps me on my
toes, as you can see from the photo! Ziggi needs special
care as a vetran, and he loves it when Gini does Reiki on
his old bones. Zig is not backwards in coming forwards, and
he will march right up to Gini and put himself under her
hands so she simply cannot refuse!!
If Ziggi dominates my heart, the rest of it is taken
up by my four year old Quarter Hors,e Shiny. As well as
being quite beautiful, intelligent and sensitive, he
is also accident prone and very awkward to fit a saddle
to!! Shiny is the kind of horse who will give you
everything he has got, as long as you ask for it the right
way, and Gini managed to find me perfect fitting Western and
English saddles for my boy so that I can continue bringing
him on in our own slow but sure way!
As well as being a customer of Gini's, I am very
proud to also call her my friend. I know I can always call
her any time for advice, to sound out about something, or
generally talk horse!
